(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — Last week, The Guardian reported newly discovered emails that prove RFK Jr. lied under oath about the motivation for his trip to Samoa. Following his visit, Samoa faced a deadly measles outbreak infecting over 5,000 people and killing 83.
Ahead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing last year, 314 Action launched a pressure campaign warning Americans about the dangers RFK Jr. posed to public health, including a series of digital ads highlighting RFK Jr.’s role in Samoa.
“One year later, RFK Jr.’s death toll grows,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “His vaccine disinformation campaign killed children in Samoa—and his anti-vaccine agenda has already killed at least three Americans and spurred the largest measles outbreak in 25 years.”

Naughton continued, “RFK Jr. lied under oath to get into office and now, everything we warned would happen under his watch is coming true. He weaponized vaccine advisory committees to undermine confidence in vaccines and fundamentally change the routine childhood vaccine schedule, promoted conspiracy theories as facts, cut federal funding for disease research, and pushed unfounded medical claims.”
“We’re holding every Republican who put him in office accountable for the destruction of our public health. 314 Action will continue to lead the fight against anti-science Republicans in 2026 by recruiting and electing doctors and scientists to office—and winning.”
Since his nomination, 314 Action has been a leader in holding RFK Jr. accountable and continues the work through an ongoing seven-figure accountability campaign. 314 Action led the calls for his resignation and investigation into his HHS.
