RFK WATCH: 314 Action Slams RFK Jr. After Screaming Match Senate Hearing

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — Following a press conference today hosted by 314 Action and Protect Our Care with House and Senate members, Health and Human Service Secretary Robert F. Kennedy faced the Senate Finance Committee. He was forced to answer questions about his takeover of the CDC, attacks on science and vaccines, and efforts to defund critical research programs. 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton released the following statement in response:

“Today, RFK Jr. showed us who he is: grossly incompetent, ill-informed, and ignorant. He should never have been appointed to lead HHS and now we’re suffering the consequences. Amid a screaming match in today’s hearing, RFK Jr. claimed he was ‘pro-science,’ — the data doesn’t lie, but RFK Jr. does. He lied to Congress in his confirmation hearing and he continued to lie today. Since his confirmation, RFK Jr. has done nothing but undermine top health officials, spread misinformation, and halt critical research.

“His brain worm must be eroding his memory. Despite being on the job for six months, he gave conflicting responses, repeatedly contradicted himself and denied public statements he has made. Here’s a tip: tell the truth, it’s easier to remember. RFK Jr. could not confirm how many Americans died of COVID-19. He admitted to firing Dr. Susan Monarez because she wouldn’t terminate scientists who disagreed with him and he denied blaming anti-depressants for mass shootings—even though he made this comment just one week ago.

“Today’s hearing confirmed what we already know: RFK Jr. is the most dangerous Health Secretary in American history and his anti-science agenda is a threat to all Americans. This isn’t a partisan issue. RFK Jr. needs to step aside or be fired—before more Americans die under his watch.”
