RFK Jr. Needs to Go on an Apology Tour for Trump’s Anti-MAHA Moves

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — On Sunday, RFK Jr. released a long statement on X doubling down on President Trump’s executive order allowing the use of glyphosate as a pesticide. It comes as the FDA reversed course on food dye labeling requirements, adding to growing backlash from MAHA activists. In response, 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton released the following statement:

“RFK Jr. needs to take his tour on the road and apologize to the MAHA moms who got measles outbreaks in exchange for lip service. RFK Jr.’s backflip on how glyphosate suddenly became good for us is completely bonkers and requires mental acrobatics of Olympic proportions. It’s just more of the same from this administration—blowing smoke about fighting corruption while rewarding their corporate backers at the expense of the public’s health and wellbeing.

“On top of that, Trump continues to undermine RFK Jr.’s food agenda by overruling his handshake deal with food manufacturers on labeling artificial dyes. MAHA moms are pissed and they should be—and the MAHA movement is falling apart at the seams. RFK Jr. is a political liability in the midterms and 314 Action is committed to electing scientists and doctors who will stand up to Trump and RFK Jr., call out their hypocrisy and use their experience to pass policies that actually improve the health of all Americans.”
